Paint protection filmFull body PPF in Hollywood, FL
Full body PPF is best understood as a vehicle-wide panel plan. It extends the protection conversation beyond the front end to the painted body surfaces you decide to include. A careful proposal identifies each area, the finish, the preparation and the boundaries that will be visible when the vehicle is used.

Make whole-vehicle coverage inspectable.
Start with front, side, rear and roof views of the actual car. Work through the hood, fenders, doors, quarter panels, bumpers and other proposed painted surfaces. Treat the roof and smaller painted elements as explicit decisions. A phrase such as full vehicle should not hide uncertainty about door jambs, inner returns, lights, glass, wheels or trim.
Plan consistency across the body.
Choose the intended gloss or matte direction before committing to a complete installation. Review a suitable sample on the existing color where possible. Partial changes in sheen can stand out differently across adjacent panels. If you want a deliberate combination of finishes, identify the boundaries on the proof instead of discovering them at handover.
Separate preparation from the film layer.
Existing chips, sanding marks, repaired paint and old film need discussion before coverage is agreed. Show the studio defects you already know about. A complete-body project creates more opportunities to notice inconsistencies in the underlying surface; it does not establish that every panel has the same paint history or preparation requirement.
Agree the handover record.
Use the approved panel checklist when the completed scope is reviewed with the studio. Ask which areas need a follow-up inspection and which product-specific care instructions apply. Keep the selected material reference and written terms with the vehicle record. This is more useful for later care or panel work than an unspecified promise of permanent protection against every kind of damage.
Make the scope explicit.
| Project detail | What to agree before production |
|---|---|
| Panel inventory | Record each included outer panel and separate small painted pieces. |
| Inner surfaces | Agree jambs and returns independently from exterior coverage. |
| Finish | Confirm gloss, matte or a deliberately mixed appearance. |
| Access & boundaries | Discuss edge treatment, openings and agreed disassembly. |
| Care record | Retain the actual film reference, instructions and written terms. |
Bring a useful brief.
- Complete exterior photographs, including the roof where practical.
- A record of paint repairs, current defects and existing film or coatings.
- A decision about the desired sheen and any contrast surfaces.
- Your availability for inspection, installation discussion and handover.
A little more clarity.
Does full body PPF include door jambs?
Only if they are listed in the agreed scope. Outer body coverage and inner openings are different areas and should be reviewed separately.
Does PPF make a vehicle immune to damage?
No. Protection has limits that depend on the film, the impact and the surface. Review the selected product information and actual terms rather than treating full-body coverage as an all-damage guarantee.
